Haven't even had a chance to play the ball . Ordered thru Revolution golf on 5/15 18, shipped from your facility 5/16/18. Still have not received because of the type delivery you chose to use thru fedex.Delivery scheduled for 5/25 18. Really.
A very good feel with any club. From driver to putter this ball has great feel and response. Definitely a serious consideration for replacing much higher priced golf balls.
I was a Bridgestone B330s guy, but the ELIXR intrigued me so I gave it a go. This ball will be my 2018 gamer. Distance off the tee is solid and comparable to any other Tour ball. The short game control is also comparable to any other tour ball and the durability holds up throughout the round. Where this ball separates itself is two categories. Iron play, through my 4 iron -PW this ball went 3-5 yards longer and I had more spin. I stuck a 5 iron from 205 to five feet and the way the ball came off the face and it's flight in the air was magnificent. With my irons I was hitting my little "windows" in the air exactly how I wanted too. Secondly, where this ball separates itself, is off the putter. This ball feels soft and responsive, and when you give it a good roll, it just feels better then other tour caliber balls. I played this ball against my B330s and, in a different round, against a Pro-V1. The ELIXR was either on par or better from all the different shots you would hit in a round. Throw all this in with the fact that you can buy three dozen for under $100 bucks, this ball choice is a no brainer. I really hope Oncore can find it's market and continue to grow because with only a few rounds under my belt with the ELIXR I'm hooked and excited to see how they can improve on their products in the future.
For me it's a good (not great) golf ball; very much over hyped for the average golfer who can get as good or even better results with any of a number of less expensive balls. On average my scores are in the low eighties and I depend more on accuracy than length. I estimate my swing speed to be somewhere in the 85 to 90 range at my advanced age (I'm 85+). From that perspective I prefer Titleist Velocity, Callaway Chrome, or Wilson Staff Duo when price is considered.
