About the Nomads Golf Club
The Nomads Golf Club was founded in 1957 and is the oldest non-affiliated club in Southern California. Our members live in San Diego, Orange, and Riverside Counties. We meet every two weeks on Saturdays to enjoy friendly competitive rounds of tournament-style golf. We typically play a total of twenty-six rounds of golf per year.
For our purposes, the name “NOMAD” has two meanings: 1) The Club is nomadic in that it travels from course to course during the year, and 2) The term “NO – MAD” encourages our members to conduct themselves in a manner that builds camaraderie and discourages any displays of anger towards fellow golfers, regardless of the situation. As a Nomads member or guest, the emphasis is on fair-play, integrity, good sportsmanship, and adherence to the accepted rules of golf.
