I had the pleasure of meeting one of our OnCore ambassadors, Armana Christianson for the first time in Scottsdale, Arizona last week. We decided to play The Short Course at Mountain Shadows. Upon entering the facility I was greeted, unexpectedly, by golf writer Matthew Ward who recognized my OnCore hat. He was there to do a story on the course architect Forest Richardson and offered to introduce us. Forest was very kind and excited for Armana and I to play the course.
Shortly after Armana arrived and we got to chatting and warmed up on the practice putting green. We both got pull carts and decided it would be fun to walk the par three 18 hole course. Exactly 7 holes in something magical happened. A short hole, roughly 78 yards, with water in front and views of Camelback mountain to the rear, I asked Armana if I could film this hole. She happily agreed and what follows is the stuff of golf legend. Congratulations Armana and thanks for playing ELIXR.
