OnCore Featured on CNBC’s Power Pitch
OnCore Founders Bret Blakely and Steve Coulton had their hands full last week. While a multitude of golf balls in hand are the norm, this week was one for the record books. On February 24th the duo appeared on CNBC’s Power Pitch, where they showcased their vision for OnCore Golf. A panel of experts, including Charlie Rymer-former PGA Pro and Golf Channel Analyst- alongside David Wu- of Maveron Venture Capital, were tasked with evaluating the opportunity. CNBC’s host Dominic Chu also casted his vote. The show is a condensed version of Shark Tank for entrepreneurs to showcase their goods and the experts then have to give contestants either thumbs up or down. We won’t spoil the outcome, so please stay tuned for the official airing on 3/12/14.
Later in the week, Steve Coulton was invited by his alma mater- New York University- to participate in a panel discussion at the university’s third annual Entrepreneurs Festival. There was also an opportunity to demo the product in a portfolio showcase prior to the panel discussion.

That same day OnCore was invited to be a part of an event put together by the Boy Scouts of America. The event was called the Buffalo Aficionado and this was its first year. The idea for the event was to gather some of Buffalo’s rising companies and professionals to network and enjoy learning about the vendors there. It was held in the beautifully restored Lafayette Hotel’s Grand Ballroom. The vendors represented there ranged from Whiskey and cigar companies to a custom suit company, a golf simulator, OnCore golf and many more. The event was a wonderful opportunity for OnCore to showcase our product offerings and educate customers on our new golf ball technology. We we fortunate to be able to team up with Perfect Parallel who had a beautiful golf simulator and allowed guests to use our balls to hit and win prizes from OnCore and other companies. Overall the night was a huge success and we were thankful to be a part of it. Looking forward to returning next year!
